The lessons include starting and stopping, quick turns, hill riding, emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles.

What We Provide

BC ATV Training provides students with quality, Canada Safety Council certified instruction. We teach using a mix of theory and practice to allow students to acquire new skills and test them in a safe and controlled environment.

The ATV and UTV courses are one day each. The course duration is generally less than 8 hours. Ideally, we aim for a group of six to eight students per class. For larger groups, courses can be split into multiple days.

What To Bring

Prior to every course, students will be given a study manual and course overview. BC ATV Training will provide DOT-approved helmets and Hi-Vis Vests. Students must come to the course equipped with the following:

  • PPE/Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, gloves and appropriate footwear such as steel-toe boots, or hiking boots).

  • All-weather clothing. We teach in rain or shine, so be prepared for both!

  • Food and drinks for breaks and lunch. This course is moderately physically demanding, so be sure to bring lots of water.
